Contract Lead
Senior Analog IC Design Engineer – PMIC | GF 22nm
Job Overview
Chipright is seeking an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer to join an advanced semiconductor development project focused on next-generation power management ICs implemented on GlobalFoundries 22nm technology.
This role will focus on the design and development of mixed-signal and analog IP for a high-speed digital controller, supporting a range of critical power management functions operating across multiple voltage domains, including 3.3V, 1.8V and 0.8V.
The successful candidate will take ownership of analog circuit blocks from specification through design, simulation and verification, working closely with digital design, layout and verification teams to deliver high-performance silicon.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks for advanced power management ICs.
  • Take ownership of analog IP from architecture through transistor-level implementation and verification.
  • Design and optimise key analog building blocks, including:
    • Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs)
    • Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs)
    • Comparators
    • Digital Pulse Width Modulation (DPWM) blocks
  • Develop circuits operating across multiple voltage domains, including 3.3V input, 1.8V high-speed digital circuitry and 0.8V IP.
  • Perform transistor-level simulation covering functionality, performance, corner analysis and robustness.
  • Support mixed-signal integration alongside high-speed digital controller circuitry.
  • Work closely with layout engineers to ensure successful layout implementation and post-layout performance.
  • Support design reviews, debugging and silicon bring-up activities where required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver designs that meet power, performance and area objectives.
Technical Environment
The design environment includes:
  • Process technology: GlobalFoundries 22nm
  • Application: Power Management IC (PMIC)
  • Mixed-signal architecture combining high-speed digital control with precision analog circuitry
  • Voltage domains:
    • 3.3V input
    • 1.8V high-speed digital circuitry
    • 0.8V low-voltage IP blocks
