Sonar Acquisition System

Chipright’s consultants designed and led the development of a high-speed digital towed array sonar acquisition system and the sonar section of an underwater telecommunications modem. The towed array design was implemented on several FPGAs using VHDL. The design included several embedded ADSL modems running at high speed in order to transfer the large amount of acquired data. The underwater telecommunications modem was implemented using various FPGAs, to acquire and handle hydrophone data.
